OttoEventThe Northeast Qualifier is a 3 day junior girls volleyball National Qualifier, held in Philadelphia. We will distribute Open, USA, Liberty, and American bids. All teams must be registered on OttoEvent, paid in full and meet the hotel requirements before the deadline to be accepted into the tournament. Please note that divisions may fill prior to the deadline date.
This event is a stay to play tournament. Any team traveling further than 60 miles must secure a minimum number of rooms through EM2 Housing. Rooms must be booked through the housing website for team qualification and rooms booked directly through hotels will not apply.

Open Divisions
The goal of the Open divisions at the JNC is to identify the best team in the country through rigorous competition in a particular age classification from among the top 32 teams. The Open divisions of the Qualifiers are designed to identify and select those top 32 teams. Teams have only one avenue to gain entry into an Open division of the JNC—participate in an Open division at a Qualifier and either earn a bid at the Qualifier or perform well enough to earn an at-large bid.
Teams have three avenues to earn a bid for a GJNC Club division (National, USA, Liberty or American):
Bids
Bids will be offered in accordance with the Qualifier Manual Specifications. Space is planned to accommodate the maximum number of teams to award all possible bids.
Minimum: Minimum team count to reach the number of bids listed in the “Bids” column. If number is NOT reached, the bid count will likely have to be reduced.
Projected Maximum: Max teams estimated that can be accepted, given facility space limitations. These may be adjusted up/down as we get closer to the entry deadline.
If an American Division of an age group has more than 96 teams and the event can accommodate, the division can be split into 2 tournaments with a bid each. In AES, it will look like it’s one tournament but as we get closer to the event, the division will be split into a “Red” and “Blue” tournament. Teams will be seeded and split evenly between the 2 divisions. Teams from the same club will also be split as equitably as possible.
USAV has instituted this for the National Qualifiers for 2026.
At USA Volleyball, we know that coaching is more than just leading a team—it’s a passion, a commitment, and often, a family effort. We also understand that parenting can bring unexpected challenges, and sometimes, childcare options just aren’t available. That’s why we’re excited to announce a meaningful update that allows rostered adult staff to have their child (age 8 & under) on the bench in these situations.
